    Take Over

    A collection of images from previous Take Over exhibitions including sculptures, video works, and paintings

    Every year Shieldfield Art Works runs Take Over, a series of open call opportunities for three artists or groups of artists to put on their own exhibitions in the SAW gallery with support and guidance from SAW staff.

    The call out for Take Over 2025 will be going live in November 2024, with the exhibitions taking place in Spring 2025. You can view last year’s Take Over call out here, call outs remain relatively consistent each year.

    This year in the run up to the Take Over call out SAW will be hosting three sessions offering inspiration and advice. These sessions will be open to anyone but will be particularly helpful for those who are early in developing their practice or are seeking guidance on how to put together a successful art exhibition.
