At our Harvest Festival this year we enjoyed food, live music, crafts and a time of thanksgiving. Many people contributed to the fantastic feast with noodles, rice, falafel, focaccia and a tonne of cake! A lot of the food was made using produce harvested from the SAW garden – super local and super tasty! Our crafts were led by slow_arts who facilitated the making of a beautiful harvest wall. Alison Wilkinson shared about the wonder and awe of creation and how that points us to give thanks to God. Sharon wrote a beautiful poem titled ‘Harvest’ and Ishrat shared about here excitement at learning to grow this year as a Shieldfield Grower. The sun was shining over the garden and we had a wonder-filled time as a community celebrating harvest time.
This event is put on by SAW and Dwellbeing Shieldfield.
